Is This The Worst Thing Seen In A Car Ad?
Discussion
I think you're missing the OP's point. We're looking at an average of 14.8mph so 13mpg is no unexpected.
It's just that this car has been used at an average of 14.8mph. Maybe there has been some good long runs on the motorway but presumably the current owner lives in a busy area and the chunky large engine is choked in stop start traffic.
It's sad to see the poor engine not averaging higher mph.

You don’t know how far they have driven so it’s totally meaningless.
If they were thinking about it, presumably they'd reset the mpg and cruise it down the bypass at 60 to get some respectable numbers, so I suspect that average is since it was last serviced or something?I'm assuming they just wanted to show the odometer reading and didn't think about the mpg or mph averages?
A sub 15mph average suggests the car has done 90k hard miles chugging around suburbia in first and second gear, lots little trips to the shops?
Doesn't give the image of premium aspirational motoring for the enthusiast, but it's the depressing reality.
I walk to the shops, so my car's averages are above 40mpg and 40mph since I accidentally reset them getting rid of a tyre pressure warning 18 months ago.

Only if the person reading the ad is a total dumbass. I'm assuming they just wanted to show the odometer reading and didn't think about the mpg or mph averages?

It's exactly what I'd expect, and I'm sure anyone looking to buy one of these will be aware of its dypsomania!!
You would expect the average speed of a 6.0 V8 to be sub 15 mph ?When I had my 6.0 RX7 it was a damn site higher
