Trying to update my address on my insurance and its asking me where the car is parked overnight. Its a block of flats with a secure gated car park that can only be accessed with a key fob. I have the following options I'm unsure between.

Kept on private property,
Car park,
Locked building,
Locked compound,
Residents parking on private premises.

I'm between the last two, want to imply that it's locked so leaning more towards locked compound but from what I've read online it says that's more commercial sites although it does say can be in your building too. What shall I select?

Locked compound seems the most honest answer. It makes it clear it is secure and not o the public road.

Both are true but I’d imagine ‘locked compound’ would be favourable to the renewal price...? As surely a locked compound is more secure than just residents parking.

I have just tried with both and it comes up with the same price so guess it doesn't matter. They are charging me a £25 admin fee for changing my address!

While a bit toppy that isn’t massive out of kilter in general.

To give some context. The cost of mid term policy administration (pretty expensive to operate but obviously necessary) is paid in two ways:
-Admin fee - which the FCA will check against costs to ensure it’s reasonable to cover them.
-Lumped in with premium - so even if you make no change you pay, you just don’t see it.

Some may balance between the two also as a third option.
