Insurance for an Aussie Import
Discussion
When I moved back to the UK from Australia, I brought my car with me. It's a 2009 Falcon XR6 Turbo - and at the time I went with Adrian Flux purely because they'd recognise my overseas no claims, and nobody else seemed to want to do so.
I've got my renewal from them, and it's not bad, and they got two prices from two underwriters with diffferent features, but due dilligence is a good thing so I've been calling around, but I can't find anyone who'll cover it. Reg searches come up with no matches, but then if I do a manual model the options stop at 2008 and for lower specced Falcons. Anyone have any advice on who might offer cover? Keith Michaels struck out, as did Acord. Seems like a lot of these 'specialist' providers really don't like special.
At the end of it, a car is a car, surely just because you don't have data on a certain model you can just base a quotation around something of similar performance and cost.

When i had my turbo ute i mainly used Adrian Flux although did Greenlight insurance at one point.
My one was quite modified with a forged engine and uprated suspension.
That's the one you blew up, right? I know some guy around Nottingham had (or has) a newer FPV too, though don't know how to contact him, just saw his car in a write-up online. My one was quite modified with a forged engine and uprated suspension.
Might give Green Flag a try but tbh it seems like Adrian Flux deserve the business for just being sensible about it!

I had my HSV GTSR insured with LV for 5 years and they refused to insure it again this year. My Holden UTE is insured with a broker called A-Plan my renewal was just under £400.
That's good to know - I've renewed with Adrian Flux for now having had a competitive quote from Classic Line that me helped me get AF down a bit. Will give them a shout next year.I realise there's very few Aussie cars in the country but would be good to do a meet sometime. Heard there's one at the Ace Cafe on Australia Day?

You may be thinking of rob who put a hole through his block. Red ute
The other Falcon is it a black saloon?
If so its Dave with the supercharged R-spec he imported.
Yeah it was a black FPV I believe. Always wanted to get an FPV but never managed to get around to it, still, glad I've got my Falcon here. Drove up to Silverstone and back on the weekend and it's so comfortable for motorway cruising. The other Falcon is it a black saloon?
