Spiralling Insurance Costs

Has anybody renewed recently, couple of friends have recently and they are seeing increase of 80-100 percent - on everyday cars. As I only do low mileage in my Lexus LC - about 3k a year that would add over a thousand pounds a year. Going to be hard to justify that cost in the current economic climate.

Yes appears to be fairly hefty hikes across the board this year.
