Speed Matters… no longer! What are we about then?

It was always a bit of a throwaway slogan imho and I’m not bothered about it’s disappearance.
However it is a bit of a sign of the times. A throwaway slogan was treated as just a bit of fun in the 90’s. Nobody would have been stupid enough to think that it was promoting dangerous driving.
In the puritanical present, though, anything that can be remotely construed as negative must be removed lest there is some pile-on from the pious.

Even the 'bravado' of things like 'bravery' can be seen as a negative in 2023. However it is a bit of a sign of the times. A throwaway slogan was treated as just a bit of fun in the 90’s. Nobody would have been stupid enough to think that it was promoting dangerous driving.

I would say there's a lot of researchers / influencing accounts on PH who occasionally try to steer topics in a certain direction. A lot of long term members who remember the powerfully built director and the fact that nothing is faster than a 335d mapped would still salute to that original slogan. It's just a bit of a ball ache these days when the brake campaigners chime in from their place on the moral high ground about how they drive at least 5% below the speed limit just to be sure they're not doing anything wrong.

What do you mean by up to date?
Not saying you necessarily mean the forum but I've seen numerous requests for avatars, signatures and like buttons over the years, thankfully all rejected.
It doesn't need all of that, but basic functionality like being notified when someone's quoted you, or the "go to last unread post" button actually working, would be a start. Not saying you necessarily mean the forum but I've seen numerous requests for avatars, signatures and like buttons over the years, thankfully all rejected.
