North Wales Run Out

Fun day out yesterday.
As Regional Organiser for the TVR Car Club I put together a small run out - 85 miles from Shrewsbury over to Llangollen and the Ponderosa Cafe, then on to Bala and then back to just outsider Shrewsbury finishing off at a nice country pub.
Properly planned with full roadbook instructions, stickers etc - tend to be a "if I'm going to do something then it needs to be done properly" kind of person.
After the complete washout on Saturday, Sunday dawned with sunshine and it stayed pretty much like that all day apart from a 10 min downpour at the Ponderosa.
Took in some great roads, especially the back road (B4401) in to Bala instead of the A494 and then the B4391 from Bala to Knockin.
Got to the meeting point nice and early and ten the first car arrived, a few minutes later another couple turned up and so it continued. Was hoping for 6-7 cars to join me, ended up with 26 - really pleased with the turnout and was great to see new faces to the Club / Region, some having travelled down from Manchester to join us
Car clubs may not be for everybody but I saw lots of people having a great time yesterday and new friendships being formed - surely what its all about. Great selection of TVRs too, Vixens,Tasmins, Chims, Griffs, Tuscans, a Cerbera and a Sagaris - best of all. no snobbery or one upmanship.
