VW Sharan euro 6 model review
Discussion
Dear readers,
Has anyone owned one of these cars (2015 onwards as needs to be Euro 6 compliant for ULEZ)?
I need to quickly sell my diesel X5 and a replacement diesel X5 I am being fleeced by the car insurance and paying another c.£5k on top of a £20k budget! As much as I love these cars I am worried it’s going to be too costly to run etc.
For a family of 5 (three children, two of which are in car seats and one in a booster, ages 2,4 and 7), the Sharan seems a far more ‘sensible’ and cheaper option. I just see them all around town being driven as taxis!
Any feedback/reviews would be great fully appreciated.
Thank you for reading. 👍🏻

Had a Ford Galaxy full size MPV a few years ago when the kids were younger. Best family car we ever had. Was cheaper to run and far more practical than the SUVs we also had before and after that car.
The only downsides really is the image - they’re not cool by modern tastes and reek of taxi service if that bothers you. Plus they’re heavy so can munch through consumables.
But if I needed that much interior room again now, I definitely get another MPV over an SUV because I simply don’t stray from the paved roads.
