Has anyone had this before the keys fell down to the space between the dashboard and windscreen as I was driving then they have fallen through in to that area and can't see them anymore.

You're likely going to have to fish them out, almost literally. Fishing hook, tartar remover tool, coat hanger or any of the like will be needed.

What car is it? Someone might have a tip.

A magnet on a stick/string is probably your best bet if you can't see them.

Time to get an endoscope camera/borescope, they’re cheap enough from euro car parts or Amazon etc, Atleast then you can look into the gab to see where they have gone, many of these cameras have a light built in and come with magnet and hook attachments

If you manage to get the keys back out you need something like this to stop it happening again

I just bought one for less than a tenner from Temu, just the thing for a job like this.
