What was your old job, out of interest? Seems odd they are digging so much unless anything else has made them suspicious.

If you no longer do the job, I don't think they have any grounds to refuse cover. Unless they can prove otherwise. Most proposal forms ask for your occupation, not previous occupations for your whole working life!

How much damage?
Was it just a scratch?

Surely car insurance companies don't go trailing Facebook to find out whether you are who you say you are or what job you do?

I've never had to claim so hence the curiosity?

Generally, no, but social media is used extensively if there are concerns of fraud or something else the insurers don’t like, especially for high-value claims.

In the middle of a claim and my insurance think I have a second job which I don’t. They suspect this as when you type my name it brings up Facebook posts from 2021 about this other job however I don’t do it anymore? I definitely wasn’t in this job at the start of my policy in 2022. Could my claim be rejected even though I don’t do this job anymore?

Thanks
For context.
