I have a feeling I'm going to be directed to another thread but I couldn't see anything.
I'm changing one of my cars and the other is due a renewal and this years premiums are eye watering and I can't work out why?
My wife has a 6 year old Range Rover Sport 3.0L diesel, last year it was £976 this year the renewal is £3k although shopping around I got it to £1200. That's fine but the new one arrives this week (P440 PHEV SE Dynamic) and I can't get a quote under £3500. My car (992 GTS) is due next month, last year it was £1600, this year I can't get it under £3k. I'm the main driver on both, we're both over 40 and I have 11 years no claims. Last year I still had 3 points on my licence which have now dropped off so if anything I was expecting reasonable quotes. The Range Rover will be bought but one of my businesses so can be insured through that if it makes any difference.
Looking for some ideas before I switch to a moped!

Car insurance has rocketed across the board and many insurers have stopped insuring RR full stop in London.
It’s been a fairly massive news story across the media and on PH for the last 6 months.
