Just something random I was thinking about walking up my street the other day. I've only ever reversed on, maybe slightly for convenience, but mainly because I think it looks better hehe I'd honestly say it seems to be about 50/50 pretty much everywhere I've paid attention. However I somehow get the feeling most people will be with me, just want to see if the poll agrees!

Even normal parking spaces in car parks etc. I'll always reverse in if possible.

where i live the council require us to reverse onto the drive and it's so much easier just driving off.

Surely you should reverse onto your drive so that you don't have to reverse into a public road.

What would the council do, if <gasp> you were bold enough to drive onto your drive front-on?

I reverse on as that means less cable trailing as both our cars have charging ports at the rear end.

Also used to it with work as all our sites have a drive out forwards policy for safety reasons.

Where's the option for 'it varies'. I quite enjoy parking the cars different ways round, and in different positions. Means I get a different car view when I come out of the front door!

This is PH, where the expectation is you would have a large roundabout with a sculptured fountain at the end of the drive.

Depends

If I'm on first I reverse on, if my wife's car is there I front on.

Reason being the end of the drive is a hill and my handbrake is better when the car is pointing downhill.

I live in a close with a handful of houses so reversing off teh drive isn't an issue.

I live at the top left corner of a small close and always drive straight in to park.

No problem reversing out, there is never anything there to hit and no passing traffic.

My other half reverses in because she likes to do the opposite to me, on most things. I am sure if I reversed in she would drive in forwards hehe

People park their own cars? Surely your butler parks your vehicle in one of your garages for you?

One place I worked at, the boss insisted we park tail-out so that our exhausts wouldn't stain the brick-walled parking bays.

Drive in. I live at the end of a quiet close, everyone else does bar one.

Volvo always gets driven on because of the shape of the drive and angle you have to park at, reversing means you can't open the boot as you're either stood in plants or in a holly tree.
Left hand side of the drive
TVR usually gets driven on, as it takes forever back and forth with its st lock to get it so you aren't in the fence posts, which also means you can't get out.
BMW which currently occupies the drive as TVR is in bits in secure workshop is reversed on.
If Volvo parks on the left it also gets reversed on.

Front in, mainly as it is on a slope upwards and to the side. Reversed in it is just enough if far enough back to set off the oil level sensor...
