"... it's easy by the Clyde

parking where they like"

Just visiting my sister in Glasgow and astonished at the complete freedom there seems to be about where you leave your car. Systematic double-parking, parking right round the corners, etc. Apparently she's never seen anyone get a ticket.

People seem to forget the highway code if there are no restrictions. Very frustrating.

Wardens are a necessary evil to counter those in society who feel the rules don't apply.

Parking was decriminalised decades ago and enforcement passed to local councils. Looks like you've found one that doesn't give a toss which is most unusual as it's easy money for them.

Looks like our morning school drop off, except swap the hatchbacks with massive SUVs and Pick up trucks.

Absolutely zero fks given by them all!

Don't know if its changed now but when I lived in Moscow in 2007-8 there were no parking restrictions at all (though plenty of talk about bringing them in) and the only restraint on parking was fear of getting your car damaged.

Apart from the odd WTAF?! it actually worked surprisingly well

Given it's likely a 20 mph zone is any of the parking actually causing a problem or does it work for the people that actually live there ? Wouldn't fancy it myself but if it isn't causing much in the way of issues i don't see the problem.
