Esure - charging additional premium to change numberplate?

Esure have quoted £15 admin fee to change numberplate - ok. However, they have increased the premium by £81 immediately? Daylight robbery!

I'd just keep the old plate on until renewal time. Change it on the day your insurance is due and get new quote then. Make sure to let them know you won't be renewing with them too.

Insurance annoys me. Admin fees are an absolute con and increasing insurance for putting a private plate on is the same.
