I mean. What is the point of complaining about a thread on Pistonheads that you can just ignore any time you want?

I personally would love to see more pics of estates. I am not “anti” SUV, I would happily own any kind of full fat Range someday, but I think it’s sad that estates are disappearing from our roads and being replaced by mid sized SUVs where the overall packaging may mean less room than an estate.

It’s fine, it’s fashion. People like driving “higher up”, people love the fact their old mum or dad can get in easier, or they can load the child seat easier, there’s always a million justifications for these vehicles.

I’m just also here to celebrate the estate - an aerodynamically superior way to carry more, and often they can be some lookers as well.

2008 Octavia Estate 1.8T - L&K so well equipped with cream leather etc.

Uprated springs on the rear from before it got removed from towing duty, and slightly higher profile winter tyres give it a Octavia Scout vibe.

It’s a great dog car and never goes wrong. Love it.

The irony is without the normal models there wouldn't be any hot or fast ones in the other thread, that pesky DNA is in everything.

Winner. I loved my 525i saloon, never found it slow. Beautiful engine!
