Car insurance over 80’s any recommendation

Just trying to sort my mums car insurance out prices gone mad ( as others are seeing ).

Anyone recently got a good deal on over 80’s cover.

Renewal gone from £400 to £800
Comparison sites similar prices.

Surprise to see such a big jump on someone with 20 years no claims small 1.5 car in a rural area £800 seems absurd .

sorry to say but £800 for an over 80 year old maybe very cheap compared to the market.
