MOT Question - Middle seat belt needed?

Hi gents,

Currently doing a car audio install and I've cut back of the rear deck out (BMW E60 Sedan)

I've cut and removed the rear middle seat belt, as I never used it, never have more than 4 in the car including myself.

Will this be an MOT issue?

If you remove the rear seats too, you should be okay.

Yes.

My Skoda VRS failed a couple of years ago on a non functional middle rear belt.

As has been said, I think if you completely remove the rear seats (including back rest) it should be ok.

I had a middle belt in the back of my Octavia that wouldn't extend, and given I never had more than 4 people in the car I didn't bother to get it fixed. Folded the rear seats down for a couple of MOTs and didn't even get a comment about it.
