Hiring a large car for EU/UK use

I need to help a neighbour hire a large car (probably SUV) for use August/Sept that they can cart relatives about the UK and then down to their place in Provence.

Other than the usual suspects does anyone have any recommendations as to who might rent them something they can also take abroad?

This will be mega expensive unless you find someone independent .

My local hire and mot guy keeps a galaxy 7 seater on his fleet for jobs like this works out sensible money he is located in Woking Surrey if that’s suitable can send his details. Otherwise maybe cheaper to buy a £5k to £10k smax/galaxy and sell it after a few weeks avoid a rental bill of £1,000 plus.

As above I would consider buying a carx and then selling it after you are finished with it.
Your neighbour will rack up £1000s in rental fees.
Buying a car could potentially nske you money.

Two month subscription? Eg Skoda Kodiaq. Still pricey (749 a month) but probably cheaper than renting

Your not going to get to Provonce and back and driving round the UK for a month or 2 without paying for additional mileage which I doubt is cheap.
