Insurance companies - good bad ugly?

I’ve had a reasonable quote from esure - are they any good when it come to needing them?

I doubt many people actually claim.

Excesses tend to be high and I suspect the insurance company's response will be based on the value of any claim.

In that respect, i doubt any one company is better than any other and will simply want to resolve any claim as quickly as possible and at least cost.

Esure are supposed to be pretty good but they can all play silly buggers. Personally unless it’s some strange company I cannot find any info on I treat them all the same, cheapest wins. They are all shisters.
