Morning folks

My insurance is up on my Elise next month and I currently have an agreed value policy that cost me just over £500 last year. I have not yet had my renewal but I think it is safe to say it won't have dropped from that price.

If I drop the agreed value bit and go via the usual comparison sites it drops to around £250. I have just looked at taking out my own separate GAP insurance with Motoreasy. They quote me around £75 up to the same agreed value as provided by my current insurer.

Has anyone had any experience with this company and in particular anyone had a claim of the GAP insurance?

Any other suggestions are more than welcome.

Thanks

Brian

I posted this yesterday in reply to a similar thread.

Would save you £ 300 in premium if you don’t need to claim so that sounds a decent amount to save.
However should the worse happen then how much hassle might you expect and indeed want and then value might you lose in them then settling your claim on a market value basis ?
On the other hand if your 996 is “ only “ average then that might make the decision easier.

In your case what would the additional GAP cover cost ?
Imho though retaining an agreed value policy providing the cost isn't " exorbitant " will bring you more peace of mind and still carry less hassle with or without a claim.
