Good insurance deals at the moment

Anyone recently renewed their insurance and found the insurer who is taking on new business currently?

I remember from a discussion a while ago that if you search long enough for quotes you'll find an insurance company who are looking to build up their customer list and will be offering good rates.

I get so bored of tapping in the same details on site after site. Who has got a good deal from which insurer recently?

It doesn't matter who x y or z are with or how much they are paying unless their details match yours EXACTLY which they don't. All you can do is shop around using YOUR details.

In my experience, going through a broker is cheaper than going direct.

Which doesn't make any effing sense.

What broker have you had good success with?

I think the answer to my question is Tesco (directly on their website).

They were coming up cheapest on the comparison sites but were even cheaper when you go direct and put in your clubcard number.

Still enraged by the ridiculous increases over the recent period but pleased that shopping around still works.
