Need an auto ULEZ compliant petrol auto for under £5K

Simply that. We need something reliable, mid size, auto box, petrol, reliable, auto gearbox for under £5K. The car it would be replacing is our 2005 205,000 mile Skoda Octavia, which has been by far the most reliable car we have ever owned, but is now showing its age.

My 2003 2.4 EX Honda Accord is ULEZ compliant and the 2.4l engine is superb. Its been perfectly reliable in the time ive had it and is supriaingly fast and smooth. Its over 20 years old now and its age will sadly kill it off as opposed to anything mechanical breaking but there are newer ones in your budget.

Something like this would be my pick, although its 100 quid over budget

A 2006 or later Skoda Octavia would be fine. Just trawl the ads until you find the newest or lowest mileage one you can fine within your budget.

Put that criteria into autotrader and there will be hundreds of options. Pick the one you like best.

Any naturally aspirated petrol from about 2006 onwards will do the job. Focus/Mondeo, Mazda3/6, Toyota Avensis, Insignia etc etc.
