F1 Auto Centres - Tyre Fitting Experiences

Just gauging experiences of the PH collective of tyre fitting at F1 Auto Centres.
They currently are over £100 cheaper for a set of decent tyres for my car than from my usual fitters.
My concern is damage to my alloys. I have 20” diamond cut alloys that are totally unblemished. Will they take good care of them?
My experience of getting tyres changed usually ends up with some damage appearing on the rim as a minimum. F1 are relatively new around here so not sure of the quality of there fitting service.

My experience with chain garages is that it entirely depends on the individual location.
I trust my local ATS as I know the guys who run it and they've got high standards, but friends who have used others have had awful experiences.
All you can go on is local reviews really and word of mouth.

Thats true. My current go to for tyres has been Kwik Fit mobile. I trust my local ATS as I know the guys who run it and they've got high standards, but friends who have used others have had awful experiences.

Yeah I know Kwik Fit, they get a lot of stick. However the mobile crew around here are fantastic.
The van has all the latest kit and the fitters really seem to care. My last three set of tyres have been fitted by them with zero damage.
Just £100 difference is a lot to save if F1 have a good reputation…
They did my last tyre change on my daily 2 years ago (Burton on Trent).
One wheel was slightly damaged, a 40mm graze on the rim. Pointed it out at the time and they agreed it was their fault*. Advised to take it and get it repaired and forward them the receipt. Drove straight to local refurb place, repaired (£30) and presented the bill.
Had to chase it up but they did pay.
Anyone using the normal equipment stands a chance of some minor rim scuffing imo.

If you want the best job then find a centre that has Boss Touchless tyre change equipment. It will cost more, typically £15-20 a corner for fitting and disposal, but the chance of damage is much reduced.

- When going for a tyre change I gave the wheels a proper clean and then took photos in the car park of their premises, 25k miles but essentially perfect with no damage. Also asked them to inspect before they did the job, which they couldn't be bothered with.
