First time ever in my life I've needed to insure 2 cars in my name, apologies if this seems a dumb question.

Car 1, I've used all my NCB on and added a named driver and paid the year in full.

Car 2, I've set the NCB to '0' years on the comparison site and am now waiting to proceed.

Is that all I need to do as I'm aware you can only use NCB on 1 car?

You've done everything correctly.

Some Insurers will allow you to mirror your no claims on another car if you insure through them.

If you're reasonably old and good driving record then the premium on the 2nd car should be fairly reasonable.

You seem to have done it all correctly. Worth speak g to a human at the second car’s insurers as they may mirror your NCB or give you an introductory NCB!

Thanks guys, I ran 2 quotes on the second car (it's just a fiesta shed I use for 6 mile a day commute) and with my NCB it was £230 a year without it was £263, so minmal difference.
