AX Accident Management - anybody used them?
Discussion
I was involved in a "no fault" minor accident (bumped from rear whilst stationary at traffic).
When I contacted my local BMW bodyshop, they referred me to AX Accident Management.
The whole process from this point forward seemed increasingly dodgy - wanting to put my car in for repair without even making contact with the 3rd party, and wanting me to take a loan (rental) car, which is not actually essential, even before the damage has been assessed.
I pushed back, saying surely some contact has to be established before kicking off the process and incurring costs.
When I declined the car, this morning, they pulled out and said that they would not support my claim.
So - has anybody else used them, and if so, how did it go?

I used them.
To be fair it was dealing with the TP insurers (NFU) who were very good.
Other party drove into us, admitted fault, so we just dealt with NFU directly who put me in touch with AX purely for the courtesy car (my car went back to main dealer for repairs, as agreed with NFU).
AX sorted out a better car than I requested (gave me basically like-for-like when I didn't ask for it). Speaking to NFU, they have agreed rates with them, so everybody was happy, and the whole deal cost them a lot less than if I'd gone through my insurer for managing the claim.
Car was good, service was good etc.
It's my first and (hopefully) last dealing with them though!!

Thanks for responding.
Your case was probably more straightforward than mine (given the admission of liability), as I have every expectation of the 3rd party denying liability - based on her behaviour face to face, immediately after the incident.
I called my insurer who put me in touch with their approved repairer (quite local) who assessed the car this afternoon.
The approved repairer says the rear bumper can be repaired/repainted rather than replaced (which was the BMW bodyshop route) and is therefore quoting around £1k, rather than the £2.2k quoted by the BMW dealer.
I am not convinced about repairing, so will get a second opinion tomorrow, from another BMW bodyshop.
Ho hum.
Never simple....

I guess the expensive car hire is where they make their money. Congrats for not taking an unnecessary hits car and pushing insurance costs up.When I contacted my local BMW bodyshop, they referred me to AX Accident Management.
