BMW 330e List Price for road tax

Hi guys,

Looking at a 2020 BMW 330e Sport (not m sport). Dealer has the road tax at £180 but I am concerned that the road tax will have the over £40k supplement tax pushing it up to £590 a year.

Can’t seem to find anything confirming the list price of 330e back in 2020.

By any chance would anyone know if they were below £40k?

I have a 2019 330e and I pay the extra tax unfortunately. List price is something like £39k without options.
In fact, just checked, the RRP was £39,980 without any options ticked.

Thanks for that. Yeah confirmed it’s the extra £390. Bit annoying but just another 2 years of it. Thanks for the help everyone

I have been looking at the ads a lot recently and it appears a lot of advertisers do this, hoping you don't notice the little asterisk which does mention below there might be the added cost for the first 5 years based on list price without telling you the list price when sold.

Can be quite a shock if you don't pick it up when you buy and come to tax it.

Thanks mate. Looks like I’m getting the extra tax. Might try see if the dealer will cover the extra for this year even

That would be handy!

Although surely it wouldn't be a big issue on a car with that sort of value? I have to pay £415 a year for my 2005 BMW 330i and that will never go down.
