It's an odd way to itemise it, especially these days, but if you're happy with the overall price does it matter?

I would guess that the £90 is their standard general cost of an oil change server using whatever cheap mineral oil they buy in thousand-litre drums, and the £30 is an uplift because that oil wouldn't suit your car. Would you prefer it if they'd used oil that would invalidate your warranty (if you still have one) and ruin your engine?

That seems reasonable to me.

It cost me £95 to do a DIY oil and filters service on my car last month.

looks fine to me. I would say that this IS a specialist oil, as they probably use a 5W-30 or 10W-40 in everything else, and so have had to get this oil in specifically for your car.

Oil and filter change with synthetic oil for £120 seems very good value to me.

Get the brake fluid changed now it's cheap to have done, circa £50 and if your current fluid is failing the water content check it needs doing.

To put it into perspective, your local MB dealer would be approx £450.

If you'd asked them to explain the 29.99 charge you probably wouldn't have needed to post here. Providing they've used an oil meeting the relevanf MB spec, it's a cheap service.

Look at the service provided and the price they've charged you and no further.

They could have labelled it as unicorn juice if they wanted.

£120 for an oil change these days at a dealer dirt cheap! My last oil change cost me something like £90 to do it myself!

They have chosen to break out the cost of the oil separately for some reason.
