London ULEZ - TFL Autopay - not charged (yet?)

Anyone had experience with TFL's autopay with it either not charging at all or charging late? Or worse still bing fined despite being registered?
The 2 different journeys were just a couple of miles inside of the M25 if that makes any difference - one to Heathrow T4, and one to Hillingdon tube station.
Do.some cameras not work? Or are TFL just late at processing?
2 different cars - both date stamped as being registered for Autopay before the days concerned.
No charge showing on the account yet - 1 journey 3 weeks ago, and 1 journey last week.
Annoyingly I only registered for autopay to remove the risk of forgetting to pay/issues with payment etc - ironically a problem that didn't occur before I registered, but now does.
I've now missed the windows to pay normally - and don't want to risk paying twice anyway.

You'll be fine, the system is pretty flakey. I've had at least two free trips through the ULEZ, and just last week it failed to pick me up in the congestion zone.
I emailed them about that one because I've recently swapped my car for a ULEZ compliant one and because I rarely drive into the congestion zone I didn't bother to add the new car to autopay. I updated it the night before I was going into the zone and was concerned that wasn't enough time so after a few days I contacted them to confirm everything was fine. They confirmed all was fine and if a charge was due for that trip that the system would pick it up. It still hasn't so I guess I got that one for free.
This goes both ways though and there have been tales about people getting charged because the system has misread somebody else's registration so it's worth keeping an eye on your account.

Slight update in case of relevance to others in future...
No charge landed (yet) for the initial trips.
However I had another trip recently, this time further into London. After a few days the charge appeared on my account. So at least 1 car is set-up correctly.
My experience is therfore either that it takes a bit of time for registration to be activated (however unlikely as no fine arrived) - or some cameras on the outer parts don't always activate.
