Lost car parts at garage

I gave some parts of a classic car to be restored to a company. once they were restored we were told to pick them up. the garage where the car was getting the work done from picked the car parts up and they are saying we are missing some parts. when collected the parts were plastic-wrapped on a pallet and I was sent a picture of the parts before they wrapped the pallet. now the garage is saying two parts are missing and they were never delivered but the other company said they were on the pallet. what do I do? who will pay for the lost parts

Are the missing parts shown in the photo you were sent prior to them being wrapped, and if so has the garage seen this?

One or other is telling porkies, and if you had pictures of ALL the restored parts before collection, why would they not put them on the Pakllet ?

Not to say the did, just unlikely they left them off if they sent you pictures of them restored.

One word against another, and neither will pay is quite likely the answer to your final question, it will probably be you.

Paying others to be responsible for rare or expensive parts carries a risk, best done yourself, checked by yourself, then missing parts have a blame.
