Are you happy with your garage/stable?

Just curious what you all feel about what's in your garage - are you happy with it? By that I don't mean "...I wish I had a Bentley/Aston/Audi/whatever..." but are you itching to change to the 'next new thing' or your current is quite nice thanks?

I'll make no bones about it if I won a Bentley I'd be chuffed to pieces - but I'm honestly not too bothered if I upgrade our current cars or not. Bliss (or boring!!), I can't decide

The current fleet consists of my 2015 E350d AMG Night Edition estate, Herself's 2016 Mini Cooper Clubman and my weekend toy 1927 Alvis 12/50. Absolutely no desire to change any of them.

However... the Alvis looks lonely in a double garage all to itself, so a Morgan would fit that space very well indeed.

Currently have a Flying Spur as the family barge and a low insurance group Fiesta 1.1 for urban runabout and for the kids to learn in. Both cars are great at what they do but would love to have room for a weekend toy like a Cayman

I am really happy with my fleet although if I get my way I'll be adding an RSV4 to the stable & if I ever save up enough money a GT350R but overall I have no complaints.

I have all but one of my dream cars. I just need a Renault 5 Turbo2 to complete the collection.

Corolla GR Sport 2.0 for the daily
GR86 for the weekend. Lots of fun for not a lot of money.

It’s taken bloody ages but I’m finally happy with out 2 car garage, it’s a nice place to be. I enjoy perusing classifieds, but more recently, the act of selling and buying is not only expensive but it’s a total pain in the arse - 6 cars in 4 years to land on a combination I’m happy with. Model 3 for the nursery run and F80 (the best one) M3 for fun.

When the kids are a bit older I would like to add some more bikes and possibly a sports car to the fleet but I simply don’t have the time. Both cars need to be kid and commuter friendly, that was easy for the wife’s/nursery car but not so straightforward when it came to my ‘fun’ car.

How many cars could a person realistically own and maintain? I am one car away from completing my collection for the next decade but its like spinning plates trying to keep them all going without letting them sit around too much.

Very content. 3 cars, all wildly different, apart from they all have character and round lamps! The only change I’d make is the addition of another round lamped car - 911 Dakar - but I’d need to find £200k. As I don’t play the lottery that’s not likely to happen.

I have a 10 year old Freelander as my everyday family car and a 61 year old Mini as a toy. No desire to upgrade the daily it's still doing everything I need and not costing much. The Mini is a keeper. I do have a desire for a Series Landrover to keep the Mini company in the garage.

I have 2018 Leon FR 1.4TSi with DSG & my a Fabia SEL 1.0TSi & they both suit our needs just fine.

I currently own a Clio 182 Cup, a mk2 Golf GTI and a 987.2 Cayman 2.9.

I should be happy with that but what I’ve come to realise in the 20 years of driving and 31 cars that I’ve owned is that ‘happy’ doesn’t exist for me with cars. It’s always about what’s next and I don’t think I’ll ever find the cars which are able to fulfil whatever desire my brain has.

I've got to be happy, since May I've spent too much getting my 2007 Saab 93 Aero into its current condition both mechanically and cosmetically. Just need the alloys refurbed and it'll look and drive like new.

Even though mine are both BMWs from 2005 and 2006 I must be happy as I've had both for over 4 and a half years.

But then my preference for N/A engines with manual gearboxes and RWD limits my options although I quite fancy a manual V8 Mustang, but it just seems a bit big for a daily in a 1 person household!
