But maybe slightly more exciting than my fathers…

Great game. When I got my Triumph Dolomite Sprint in my 20s I thought a successful progression would be a BMW in my 30s, a Jaguar in my 40s and a Bentley in my 50s. That would have been the era of road tests of bright red 323i's XJ12s and Bentley Mulsanne Turbos.
Reality:-
20 - Singer Chamois
30 - Ford Orion 1.6i Ghia (company car)
40 - Audi A4 1.8 Turbo Avant
50 - Volvo V70 D5
60 - Volvo V70 D3
I seem to have got stuck somewhere...
Guessing 70 will be something electric, and ideally an estate, as I buy second hand I guess carmakers have about 2-4 years to launch something that appeals, VW ID7 Tourer might be closest at the moment.
