Would you buy an old car back?

So last week i sold my 2008 MK5 GTI on ebay as spares and repairs as it had a running problem kept cutting out and i was already £400 in on repairs and still had the problem so decided for ebay auction. The guy who bought it off me for £1120 last weekend has messaged today saying he has repaired the car (faulty throttle body) and put new coil packs in and do i want to buy it back for £2k. I had owned the car since July 2014 and did love the car and was attached to it still am obviously lol. I am tempted to buy it back what would others suggest? i know i will regret it if i don’t lol.
Why not? I guess the answer is, would you have spent another £900 to repair it? Obviously no guarantees and another 2 owners on the v5 but if it's a car you enjoyed then sounds a no brainer.
Edit to say I owned a yellow manual estate Volvo T-5R which I sold for £3500 many years ago. Discovered it on a FB group some years later and offered £12k for it which was declined... Ended up exported and for sale in the US for double that! I know I'm never going to own that car again and regret selling it in the first place!

Bought my old Fiesta ST for a second time. I needed a car and it happened to be for sale from a dealer. I knew it was a decent car as I’d spent a fair bit getting it right before I sold it and it had only been a year/12k miles that it was in someone else’s possession. Huge mistake it turned out. I spent 2k on the car to re-buy it and about 3k getting it right again. Shouldn’t have bothered.

I would buy my Mk 1 Astra SR back.
I went everywhere in it, put 100k on the clock and it never let me down.
Not a 'great' car in the scheme of things (it only had 90hp) but at the time it was perfect, looked like a GTE, handled well and could even get airborne occasionally.
Would love it back, but I think its been crushed many many years ago.

I'd love my 2002 C70 Coupe back. 
I proposed to Mrs QQ in that car, so it would be really special, but it was last MOTed in 2015. My only hope is that it's on SORN rather than tax expired, so there's a small hope that it might be just about alive somewhere, waiting to be rescued. If I ever come across it, I will offer to buy it!

I'd definitely would buy my old 200SX back too...well I would if the last owner hadn't written it off though!

I’ve bought a car back from the chap I sold it to.
It was a Mercedes S124 300TE, and a lovely machine.
It was the first of many W/S/C 124 cars I owned.
In the couple of years of the man having it from me, he spent a fortune on cosmetics and it was in far better condition than when I sold it.
I was later persuaded to part with it again by a very eccentric older man, who gave me an offer I couldn’t refuse.
He rang me several days later to confirm that it was a lovely car, and that he had managed to achieve the top speed quoted by Mercedes when new.
Some years later, it appeared on eBay, looking very neglected and forlorn- having added around 30,000 more miles in the years since I sold it.
Even my over-developed sense of nostalgia didn’t allow me to purchase it for a third time.
The MoT ran out in 2015, so I’m suspecting it’s in bits somewhere.
