If you could only have one car as a do it all allrounder, what would you go for?

I'd be very happy with my F82 M4 I think, but I'd maybe swap it for a manual version rather than the DCT though, because in time I think I'd miss 3 pedals.

Hot hatches would be a good shout for this job too I reckon.

To be honest I would probably just use my current daily driver (335D GT) or the electric car that will eventually replace it (probably a Model 3 Performance). I can’t really be bothered with the cost and inconvenience of running anything properly interesting as a daily, and I don’t really find souped up family cars all that interesting.

I'd want something with 6/7 seats, can tow my caravan, full of gadgets, top of the range sound systen, will embarrass most RS or M cars at the traffic light grand prix, pennies to run and masses of storage.

When that car is available I'll let you know. Guess the closest will be a model X plaid if refresh ever appears in UK.

I think something like an M340i touring would be peak 'single car garage' for me. I don't need anything more than that.

Practical without being too big on the road, fast without being too fast for the road or too expensive to run/maintain, lovely engine, comfortable but still fun to chuck down a good rood, looks good but doesn't stand out too much, xdrive for all year round performance.

I like EVs (have one at the moment) but I'm not ready to have one as my only car.

I live in the countryside, need to tow and deal with NE Scotland winters plus some off-road. Current car is a 9 year old Mitsubishi pickup,

Realistically my days of low sleek things are in the past, so I’d go for a new Landcruiser as it covers all the bases, looks ace and will probably be reliable for quite a long time.

Electric only doesn’t work for me. Too many trips to the top of Scotland or down to Kent. I guess the new Landcruiser is a good shout but a 5 series touring would work.

Just me and the missus here, so no need for great practicality... though it does need to be comfortable for longish drives, something engaging on a trackday and something my wife could drive. So... 911 gt3 it is. Happily thrash it on track, then auto and cruise to get home. Plus relatively compact so sure my wife would be fine popping to pilates in it.
