Hire car advice (LHR March 25)

I'm heading back to England next March, for only 2 weeks this time.

I've previously hired Ford Focus or similar, but last trip in September we got stuck with a "Dacia" something (never heard of them but I'm guessing Eastern European, it was the worst car I've driven since the 80s!

Wouldn't mind getting something a bit nicer/sportier this time, any suggestions? Prefer to collect and return at LHR

Avis Prestige have a selection of Prestige Vehicles ar LHR - T1 to T4.

The big brands have a "prestige" list but beware of the limited mileage clause, absurdly high security deposit and excess, and the high daily rate. Fine if you want some fun for a weekend but for a 2 week hire you'd be forking out enough to buy a second hand Golf GTi....
