MOT Question

Would a non functioning headlight switch be deemed to be a MOT failure ? The strange thing is, that even though the switch is completely disconnected and the 2 wires in the stem are not connected to anything, the Headlights still work as normal but only switch off with the ignition, so I suppose they are just working a DRLs.. I am intending to getting around to taking the steering wheel off at some point and trying to extend the wires in the stem to enable me to reconnect the repaired switch at some point but just wondered if its not done by the time of its next MOT if it would be a issue.

Assuming you can dip the main beam, I can't imagine this being a fail.

Yes they function as normal, I wonder if they were designed to fail safe.. apparently its a common fault on Fiats..
