Looking for Recommendations on Storing Car Parts in Rigid Bo

Hi all,
I’ve recently started organizing my car parts collection, and I’m looking into using rigid boxes for storage. I need something sturdy and durable to protect the parts from dust and damage over time. Has anyone here used rigid boxes for storing car components?

What types or brands do you recommend? Any tips for keeping everything properly organized inside the boxes to prevent scratching or other issues?

I usually re-use the same cardboard boxes that new parts have come in, as well as any filling materials that were there - Paper / shredding, bubblewrap, packing peanuts - whatever is appropriate for the parts going in.

Then just grab a sharpie and write on the box what you've squeezed in to minimise the time spent treasure hunting when you need to find something.

Some of these large tote boxes are cheap and incredibly rugged. I wouldn't buy them on eBay, you can often get them very cheap on Facebook Marketplace.
