Mercedes AMG C43 Windscreen

I recently bought a used AMG C43 from a Mercedes dealer and have noted an issue with the windscreen.

There is, what looks to be, a strand of thin copper wire approx 100mm long curled, trapped within the layers of glass to the windscreen, similar in width to the embedded aerial.

I have raised this with the dealer and am seeing them tomorrow, but wondered whether or not anybody else had experienced this and what the outcome was.

The wire is the DAM aerial.

Yup, defect.

Rare to see something like that. If anything, it's usually a little squiggle in the line where it's not straight.

I am guessing it is one of those things that once you notice it...you can't un-notice it, despite the fact that no one else notices it?
