Any of you taken advantage of the quiet roads and gone for drive today?

Every year I think I might, but never do. I'll get my driving kicks when the daylight comes back.

Am doing a breakfast meet with the boxster in a few days though, so it's not completely tucked up for winter.

I’m playing taxi driver for the family today so will be out and about. I need to take the 4 door though so it will be less fun than it could be.

Beautiful sunny day here in Majorca, no salt on the roads here and the roads are deserted so will take the Aston to Formentor lighthouse.

Normal working day today so I thought that I'd treat myself to Track Mode and gear shifting with paddles.

SW London to W London though. Boy! there were more numpties on the road than usual.

Not today but had a delightful drive up to the in-laws in Dumfries yesturday evening. 125 miles in 1 hour 25 mins, best time Iv made doing that trip, roads where pretty much dead, cruise set as soon as I got on the motorway didn’t touch it untill I came off.

Might take the long route to my family... OTOH cba. Took the longer route back after Christmas Eve mass, though.

Pretty busy here in East Sussex this morning when we took a walk, certainly compared to years gone by. No driving for me today however.

Had to take my son and his girlfriend to Gatwick this morning as they are flying out to Hungary. Return trip from Fareham in less than 3 hours so not too bad - did have to deal with a few drivers who forgot to move left after overtaking though!

Woke up a bit earlier than normal and left home at the crack of dawn to revisit the b roads around my parents place.

Got a really good run out with almost no traffic, 2 hours of bliss and 8,000 rpm. A good start to the day!

The weather in the south of England is incredibly mild, so I drove out for a family meal on my motorbike. There used to be a garage in the local area called BARGAIN BOOZE that opens every day - sadly they've given it a more anodyne name. I admired the honesty of the original.

On the way back I saw a man wearing a tracksuit carrying a twelve-pack of toilet rolls out of that garage. Stay classy, local area.
