Temporary cover

Afternoon,

I need insurance for 55 days to cover myself on my daughter's new car (Skoda Citigo) but I'm getting quoted £100pm for Curva, Veygo cover etc

My daughter turns 17 in Mid Feb, and I thought I would run the car to make sure everything okay for a few weeks.

Once she turns 17 I can get insurance for £45 a month from Admiral on a learner licence which she can upgrade later

I have previous used Flow insurance at £35 per month, but they no longer exist.

Any suggestions to fill the gap?

Could you buy annual insurance and then cancel it after 55 days? You'd need to find an insurer who gives you a decent amount of your money back when you cancel - perhaps a direct insurer, rather than a broker.

£3 a day doesn't seem excessive for short term cover.

If you don't want a longer policy and cancel it then all you can do is compare all the different short term providers.
