I really miss a good brochure. Not just to satisfy my pervy car nerdiness, but also for actual consumer information.
I recently purchased a 2024 Mustang and was shocked and disappointed to find there was no brochure whatsoever. Sure, maybe print is anachronistic and wasteful, but a PDF brochure would still be very useful. In my experience, websites offer little information (although car brochures also nosedived in terms of facts and figures since their heyday 30 years ago) and can be updated at any time, so you lose that view of a specific model year.
Bring back the brochure, I say.

On a personal note Waaaaay back in the early 60s when Motor Trend was required reading, we had a dinner hour of about 75mins iirc. We worked it out that by running like hell down Jolly Butchers Hill to Wood Green Tube Station we could do a return trip to Green Park and have about 15mins going to the many Yank showrooms ,and others ASton.Bristol RollsFRoyce and Bentely Alvis etc! getting the latest brochures. It at a Chryler Dealer that as a 15yrs old i fell in love with the variants of the Dodge Dart/Chrysler Valiant models. Small for the US but to me nice styling. 18 yrs later the Ford that Kojak drove had the same effect. nice sculpture work . If we had time we used to do the various airlines to get the timetables...that was back in the day when there were stack of manufacturers and models when you could tell what was what on appraoch to Heathrow not like now.

My Dad used to take me to the Earls Court Motor Show every year when I was a nipper and I'd try to get as many brochures as I could, the more exotic the better!
Then in the early 70s I wrote to every London dealer I could track down for up-market cars asking for a brochure. I'm pretty sure I still have the Porsche and Monica ones somewhere.
More recently I managed to find a couple for mid 2000s BMWs on Ebay.

Whenever I buy a car I always like to get a hard copy brochure but it's great so many older ones are online now.
Yes I remember returning from the NEC with carrier bags full of car porn. Back then car brochures were clearly laid out with pages for each model and it was easy to compare the different specs or options. These days it's just a website with a few arty photos. You have to go into the configurator to compare different models.

I never went to the London Motor Show, but did go to a couple of them at the NEC and came back with bags of brochures. In fact I also remember going to a small one at Northgate Arena in Chester, which is where I got a copy of the Car magazine with the epic Lamborghini collection road trip story. I wrote to a lot of places asking for brochures, most were very helpful though I do remember my mum having to stop one place trying to persuade me to book a test drive as I was about eleven. I also wrote to two American car manufacturers, Ford and GM, asking for brochures, probably using the address that was in one of the Motor Show Reviews that used to be published. Ford sent me a couple of range brochures, GM though really pushed the boat out. I got home from school and there was an envelope about 3" thick, they'd sent me an individual brochure for pretty much every car they made, which was really good of them.

What I would say is, you really want a PRO on top of your chosen trim level to get the Pilot Assist etc.

What I would say is, you really want a PRO on top of your chosen trim level to get the Pilot Assist etc.
