Where can I get 20" Alloy Wheel Boxes from?

Evening all,

I've sold a set of 20" alloy wheels (no tyres), but struggling to find suitable boxes to buy online. Any suggestions?

Dimensions are 55cm x 55 x25cm for the fronts and 55cm x 55cm x 29cm for the rears.

Decided bubble wrap and shrink wrap is easier. Unbelievably you can get 100 metres x 50cm for £10 from Amazon. Will protect the faces with cardboard, bubble wrap to death and shrink wrap.

Just check your ts & cs carefully as some couriers won't insure wheels if they aren't in proper boxes.

The way I do this is,

Cut a strip of cardboard out of sturdy boxes, long enough to wrap around the wheel perimiter, and roughly 3x the width of the wheel.
Roll the cardboard round the wheel, making a tube.
Cut slits in the card from the wheel edges outwards, every few inches.
Fold the flaps of card in, one at a time.

Congratulations, you now have a wheel-shaped cardboard "box". Wrap it in parcel tape, bubblewrap, plastic, etc as you like. On especially valuable wheels I've used pipe insulation to protect the rims, and circles of hardboard to add extra cover to the faces.

I've shipped many sets of wheels with this method and never had a problem with damage.

Er, not sure if serious, but on my cars the wheels are protected by very expensive and technically advanced rubber balloons full of compressed air and complex mechanical linkages to make sure only the rubber bits interact with anything solid. Maybe your cars work differently. Are you Fred Flintstone?
