up rating a vehicle - what is the process with DVLA?

This company fits air suspension and then up rates the vehicle with the DVLA:

If I fit this suspension myself, what is the process with the DVLA? They mention completing paperwork with DVLA, but I can't find anything about this? If I do this myself, do I have to have the vehicle inspected and signed off by someone?

TBH I don't see the point; you're not changing the class of vehicle so the only party that needs to know is the insurer.
