Firstly I apologise for posting about an EV on here. It was a needs must, nearly no company car tax thing!

So, I have an Audi Q8 E-Tron on lease, coming up to 2 years old, and since December the fast charger has been intermittently failing (the slow charger has been fine). Sometimes it will charge first time, sometimes it will take me 45mins plus to get it to charge, so basically every time I have a journery of longer than lets say 150 miles, I'm playing roulette with whether I can reach my destination or not.

I took it in to Audi for the second time, and they have now said that it needs a software upgrade...... but Audi haven't written the software yet, and it won't be available in Q1 of this year.

So to me, I have an £80,000 car which is not for for purpose. Where do I stand with Audi? Should they be giving me another car until they are in a position to do the software upgrade?!

TIA, Mark

Seems sensible to me, you have no direct link to Audi in this instance, the lease company does. You need to tell them that the car is unusable for its intended purpose and either get it fixed, replaced, or cancelled entirely with a new lease for a different vehicle.
