Ignore salary: cost ratio, PCP etc.

Who has the most expensive car which is their *only* car, owned outright.

Note this is purely intended as a piece of fun, and not intended to have a go at people who use PCP or take advantage of company car schemes etc.).

(I won’t win, I have an up GTi).

I'll match your shed and raise you another £1000...

...plus the additional £3k I've put into it, knowing that I'd probably only get £1k for it if I tried to sell it! rolleyes

Edit: oh, their only car. I'm out, then.

I suspect the winner will be someone living in a massive motorhome.

I think very few people with expensive cars only have one.

It won’t be worth much as we all know when you’re wealthy you lease yourself a car though the business or leverage finance to protect your assets and keep the real money in stocks and shares to earn more while someone else takes the liability of a depreciating asset while maintaining the notion that you can’t afford something unless you can buy it’s twice over in cash

I'm out, I have 2 cars.

Do I win on the Daily vs Fun price ratio?

My daily car is worth about 3k my fun car is worth about 30k, so 10X the value.

I'd imagine it will be someone who shops at Motorhub in Bradford, drives an Aventedor and lives with their mum

Colleague of mine paid just under £180k for a Taycan Turbo S

Doesn't have anything else.

That's because most very expensive cars are a bit restricted in their range of abilities. You don't use an Aventador to take spouse and kids across Europe or a Phantom to have fun on twisty roads.

So most expensive 'only' car is an interesting question IMHO.

Thanks, that in essence what I was ‘driving’ at. I did say it was an idle question smile

I imagine the answer is some sort of Rolls or Bentley owned by someone not that interested in cars who therefore probably isn't knocking around this forum.

Presumably given their depreciation curve its not worth anything like that any more ?!
