Never seen one of these before. What would you guesstimate the price-tag to be?

Always thought these were an interesting curio when they popped up in magazines and books as a child, but never really "wanted" one. Striking but not pretty, maybe a little more engine, to lift the performance to supercar territory, could have made the difference?

How do the headlights work? Do the covers rotate or something?

Lol, how did they do that? Take the YB engine and drivetrain from a Sapphire Cosworth...put it in to a sleeker more focused mid engined body...but..make it slower and worse handling than the family car that they borrowed it from.

Super niche, ugly (90s in a horrible way), no parts around, not fast, not a nice engine. Not much to like for me.

It's been up for all but £100k for a while. POA in this case means "As close to £99,995 as possible."

So they didn't exactly turn out to be the most important British sports car since the E-Type like Car predicted!

I suppose it has some rarity value but it does nothing for me, especially for that sort of money.

Panther, despite their predilection for Excalibur copies and sporty roadsters using Vauxhall parts (Panther) were exceptionally well made. I seem to remember that they also did a Dolomite Sprint in Panther guise ,which was around twice the price of the original, but finished to an exquisite standard. Saw one a few years ago in Edinburgh.

Yes, the Dolomite based one was a Panther Rio and had things like electric windows!

I saw one a few yrs ago early one morning on a bike ride, oddly at a little garage in nr Hartley Witney. Its the only one I’ve ever seen.

Proportions look very odd indeed in the pics, looked better in the metal.

Makes cars like the Wells Vertige or A110 look a bargain relatively.
