Most seem to have a car value ceiling of £125k.

Many offer max £50k of cover whatever the value of the car is but not if its over £125k!

I wonder what the issue is?

Anyone know a supplier that will?

Cheers.

Try david@gapinsurance.co.uk

Good guy, and worth an email. Not sure on his ceiling though.

No affiliation to him, but have used his company’s services a few times.

He was 125k max roo mate but v helpful. Thanks.

Click for Gap go to 150k, max 75k limit. Not UK based though and give false discount codes - quotes the same with and without 25% code. Iffy.

Don't some insurance companies offer to replace with a new car, if the old one is written off, if it's less than 12 months old or something?

I didn't read all the way through this, but looks interesting.

For a high value car just get an agreed value policy with a proper insurer.

I know to the penny what I will get in the event of a write off for several of my cars.
