What do you do with your old car while waiting for a JDM imp
Discussion
Hi Folks,
I'm just wondering about buying a JDM car and importing it.
It might sound like a daft question, but what do you do with your old car while waiting for your new one to come from Japan, go through IVA/MOT/registration etc, but you don't have the money to keep it all locked up in your old one before paying for the new one?
Is it as simple as selling your old one, doing without or buying a cheap runabout for a few months? Or are there alternatives I'd not considered?
I know this might sound daft but I'm wondering if there's a less tedious answer than the obvious one?

I mean run around seems logical but if you want an alternative how about a short lease on a nice car.I'm just wondering about buying a JDM car and importing it.

How much are we talking here, theoretically?
I'm not sure id want to be without a car for a few months, or have the hassle of buying and then selling a cheap interim car, so id probably look for a bridging loan. 8% interest on a £10k loan is £67 a month, which you then pay back in full when your Japanese import arrives and you then sell your current car.
