41 years ago, as a much younger man I arrived in London and my boss, Peter Farrington- god rest his soul- had a previous S Class which a few years later he swapped for one of these.

Ye Gods I got to drive it and yes it was “ hewn from granite”.

What a machine. The epitome of the best in class.
