I've just heard that Max Power magazine has been suspended for the time being. Not sure if that's a good or a bad thing?!

Back in the early 00's it did sell well, very well in fact, up to 240,000 mags a month according to it's ABC history. It's most recent ABC figure was 20,000

I used to flick through a mate's copy in the early 90's: the cars usually weren't my cup of tea but the writing could be good and the obvious enthusiasm for the subject shone through. Nowadays it seems to be Nuts with cars.

I thought it was quite good when I was 13/14 but that's probably more to do with the naked ladies rather than the "nice" cars, which were pretty st.

Fast Car I think if remember correctly only started was only about tuning cars rather then boobs, only changed when Max Power came out.

Or am I thinking of a different magazine.

Is it Fast Car or Max Power that has "THE NAUGHTY MOD SPECIAL" or some other st on sale this month? It's got stuff plastered on it like "ADVICE FROM REAL COPPAZ ON HOW TO KEEP YOUR NAUGHTY CAR ON THE ROAD" and other such fantastic articles advertised. I really struggled with my conscience; "Do I want my monthly EVO or DO I WANT TO KEEP MY NAUGHTY MODDED UP CHAV WAGON ON THE ROAD BRUV

Not surprised it's going out of business, it's utter crap. Another rag of a motoring magazine I read was a copy of "Japanese Performance" that had been left in the break room at work. I love Japanese performance cars, but have no interest in modding, drifting, street racing or getting my car airbrushed with those funny looking, big-eyed cartoon characters that Japs supposedly like and overweight Yank kids love. Unfortunately, this magazine typified everything that I feel is unfortunate about Japanese performance cars, another utterly dire magazine.
