ADAC partnerplus breakdown package

Well Im taking my ute to Germany in june and thought id get my usua european breakdown cover from RAC only to be told they wont cover a non UK car. So that was that stuffed.

As its a bit late to phone ADAC germany has anyone ever used them for breakdown cover on a non UK/European model vehicle?

Im a bit put off from RAC now even with my UK breakdown cover after the phone call consisting of we wont cover your non UK car then he hung up.

I use ADAC and they've never asked what car I have until I've actually phoned up with a breakdown, just asking make model reg etc of the car that's broken down (lots of different ones)
