Mis-typed price?

Found an absolute bargain today, although I have a feeling that the price has been entered incorrectly!

Or a scam for stupid people to fall for - i dont see any phone number so thats usually a giveaway for a scam.

That was my other thought. Do these things run just for collecting details or does the scam go further than that?

Fraud.

Usually the 'accidentally low price' thing is to get their car to the top of the list on Auto Trader by saying something like £120 'MISTAKE - PRICE IS ACTUALLY £12,000', which must backfire like crazy as people setting the price limiter to encompass £120 probably won't want to spend more than £1k anyway.

If its a scam it will be that the car is in spain or somewhere due to a sudden job change. They wont be able to sell it there as its RHD, hence they are prepared to ship it home to a buyer cheaply. They will then say that you can send the money via paypal to a 'holding account' and that paypal wont release the money until you say so.

Sounds like you cannot lose, however its a fake email that comes from paypal promising the funds wont be released, thus they get your money and you get no car.

I think the fact that the entire contents of that website is that one page shows its a scam.

Someone at work asked me the other day what sort of thing he should buy for £6000. He said he wanted it to be fun and well equipped. I advised a Mk3 MX5 2.0 Sport.

Today he came in telling me he'd found a 2009 BMW 320d M Sport with just 23k for £6000; Now I know where he found it.

This came to me through a work colleague, thankfully he had already concluded something was not quite right.
